Website redesign

Did it need it? Probably. Has my focus changed? Yes. Did I add fancy new images? A couple. I have to really think about my galleries soon as I feel my work is getting a bit stale. Not the work I do, but the work I've been showing. I think I may never find where I fit in the photo world. Maybe that's a good thing.

Like it? Hate it? go here to see the new front door and etc.

Its been a few weeks since I’ve browsed thru, so I totally wasn’t expecting the new design. It took me a bit, but it was very catchy and eye pleasing.

Your work is amazing and I look forward to seeing more.

Thanks. A little fine tuning with the galleries and I’m set.

  • White is so easy on the eyes. Love the new look.

Price is quite good. I had previously used Porta and found it great for a free product but lacking for what I needed.

Hey cool, what is the LR gallery generation called?

I have a friend that does copywriting and editing. She is also the girl in the tennis shot so she owes me — I’m happy to have her look over a page and edit it for you, if you like.

Even if it doesn’t have package info you should have a page with location and at least a little about you.

Yep, deftone stylus for sure. ;) As for the “about me” or packages page, I’ve hesitated on that. I’ve rewritten it a number of times and am still not sure on it. Heck I can’t even decide on first or third person. I may have someone write it for me.

Maybe I’ll just put it back up and constantly obsess over the text in it.

And for the galleries, I decided to stay with flash. What is fantastic is that I generated them in Lightroom.

    I like it!

I like that the gallery, while flash, has no annoying intro animation and especially no music when you hit the site. It looks clean, modern, and it is easy to figure out where you’re going.

One complaint is that there is no page or section for an explanation about who you are and what you can do for a potential client. Maybe that is fine if you are not actively trying to recruit clients but the only part of the site that I can immediately see that tells me where you are is the page title, which many people overlook.

I see you’re a Ray Larabie fan as well? I’m pretty sure that is Deftone Stylus used for your name on the home page.
